Bold Summer Evening Makeup

Hello loves! I hope everyone is having a lovely day?

I was feeling brave this morning whilst doing my makeup, and I wanted to share it with you. I have gone for a bold look that would suit summer evenings and is pretty simple to do! I have focused this look all around the double liner and paired it with two different nude lips. Lets go..

I wanted to make my skin very glowy. I started by moisturising my skin with the Garnier Moisture Match Illuminating Light Lotion. This moisturiser is amazing for giving your skin life and glow. I applied it all over my skin and then went straight in with my foundation. I used the Makeup Academy Undress Your Skin Illuminating Foundation for an extra bit of glowing loveliness!

For concealer I used my MAC Pro Long Wear Concealer (NC15) for a slight highlight under my eyes. I also applied this to my chin and a little bit to the center of my forehead. I then set this with my Collection Pressed Powder (Ivory) which I also applied to the hollows of my cheeks to give my contour something to cling to.

To warm up my complexion I used my Rimmel Sun Shimmer Light Matte Bronzer and applied this to my cheeks and my forehead to warm everything up and give the illusion that I have been out in the sun! Why can’t I tan!! This bronzer is my most used product over the last few weeks, I just love it!

I then went and contoured my face to give myself some cheekbones! I used as always my Makeup Revolution Mono Eyeshadow (Mocha Love) and applied this to the hollows of my cheekbones and up onto the edges of my forehead.

I wanted to use a matte blush as I wanted my highlight to be the star of the show. I used my Gosh Natural Blush (36 Rose Whisper) and applied this to the sides of my cheeks. The apples of my cheeks are naturally quite rosy, so to stop me looking patchy when my redness comes through, I have started focusing my blush on the outer parts of my cheeks and blending it in with my contour. I am really liking the results so far!

Now for that highlight! In order to my glow that I so badly desire during the summer months, I mixed two highlighters. A super frosty almost white/grey highlight and my favourite natural glowy highlight. Which are of course my Maybelline Master Sculpt (highlight shade) and the frosty highlight was from the Colour Experts Blush Palette. I then bathed my cheekbones, cupids bow, tip of the nose and above the arch of my eyebrows. YAAAAAAS!

You guys know the drill! My eyebrows never really change.. As always the only two products I use are my Maybelline Brow Satin Pencil & Brow Drama MascaraEyebrow post coming soon guys!

As my eyes were going to be pretty bold, I wanted to do a nude lip and even though I have lots of lip colours.. I wasn’t sure which colour I wanted. So I stuck to what I love. I chose two options. For summer I love glossy lips.. they are so lightweight and feminine. For my first choice I used the Essence XXL Nude Lipgloss (Almond).

For my second choice I used my much loved and my go to MAC Velvet Teddy. I would of loved to pick a more colourful lipstick, but I just couldn’t decide on one! So I thought that these two worked pretty well so that all of the focus stayed on the eyes!

Now for the fun part! I originally wanted to do a pink winged liner. Once I applied it I thought it was missing something.. so I turned it into a double wing and added a thin normal black liner. I have a love hate relationship with winged liners due to my hooded eyes, but for once I feel comfortable with this wing.. even though it’s never perfect!

I started off with defining my eyes. I used this palette from eBay which has no name and no colour names. It was my first eye shadow palette and I still use it a hell of a lot! It’s super cheap and has got some great colours. I started by using a matte stark white to really brighten up my inner corner. It is summer after all, so I wanted a fresh pop in my inner corner. I then used a coral pink shade and applied this into my crease. I then went and deepened the outer corner with a regular matte brown. I then applied a skin coloured slightly shimmery shade to my lid to brighten it slightly and blend everything together.

Now for that wing! I started by using my George Creme Blush. A blush? Say whaat? I know! It actually worked really well when applying my wing but it was rather thin so I wanted to set it. I took my MUA Eyeshadow Palette (Popstastic) and used a shimmery bright pink to go over the liner and set it in place, making it more pigmented as well. Then I took my Rimmel Scandal Eyes Black Gel Liner and applied a thin liner underneath the pink, to create the double wing. You can’t really see this part as I applied it soooo lightly, but I then took a shimmery turquoise green and applied it on my lower lash line for a contrasting colour.

I then applied my MAC False Lash Extreme Black Mascara and applied some falsies! I used some very thin natural lashes that I got from Wilko I don’t know the name! But I love the natural length they give my lashes!

& Here is how it all turned out!

  1. Are the maybelline brow products good? Is the gel similar to the gimme brow by benefit? Please check out my blog!x💜

    1. I love the brow products! I haven’t actually tried the gimme brow but it is on my wishlist! The brow drama is just a mascara for your brows, it keeps them in place and slightly thickens them! I love it :) Will do my love! xo

      1. Oh ok! I have the gimme brow and you should definitely invest in it!x I’ll definitely try that pencil out!x :)

      2. I am dying to try it! :) The pencil is great as it is retractable so you don’t have to sharpen it, plus it is really thin so it’s easy to fill in without the stuff going everywhere! It’s also a duo so one side is a pencil and the other side is powder.. It’s great! xo

  2. Such a great look! I feel like it’s a little more casual with the gloss and a bit more dressed up with the lipstick, but I love it either way! And that palette looks like mine from Love those massive ones!

    1. The big palettes are great! So cheap as well! I usually don’t wear lip gloss but as I wanted to make it a little more summery I thought I would try it. Much prefer the lippy though! Thank you love xo
