Hello pretty people!
I am back from my mini family get together in Lincoln! As much of a good time I had, I am happy to be home again. I am even more happy to be reunited with my little bubble! It has been a great few days with lots of catch ups, food and fun with some family that I haven’t seen in about twelve years!! I also got to meet some newer additions to the family which was lovely! As I was unpacking earlier this evening, I thought I would snap a few sneaky pictures as I was emptying my makeup bag. I don’t use makeup bags often as I don’t really go anywhere. Honestly.. I don’t get out much at all! So may I present to you, my travel makeup stash for when I do in fact, finally leave my little home town!
Le Makeup Bag
My makeup bag that I use for travelling is this rather large one from Primark! This cost me £4, and is a great size. I think this is more of a toiletries bag, but when you have a lot of makeup.. the bigger the better really! There were so many pretty patterns but I wanted to keep it more simple!
Apart from my cleansers and other skin care, the moisturiser I love to use especially as it is Summer, is the Garnier Moisture Match Illuminating Light Lotion. It is a lovely light moisturiser that makes you so dewy, and summery.. and glowing.. YAS.
I don’t like to take any heavier foundations or CC creams, as I like to keep things pretty light. For when I am rushed which was a lot for the last few days, I like to use my Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream. Although it is a little dark for my skin, once blended it just gives me a more dewy natural base. Perfect for when you are on the go!
Of course, I just couldn’t go without concealer. With all the traveling I have done these last few days, I had to take something to wake me up. An oldie but a goodie is the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer. A favourite of mine, as you know! To set this in place, I took my Collection Pressed Powder. Which I have now hit pan on! Sigh…
As I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go more natural, or more dramatic, it’s only right that a girl is prepared! I took my trusty contour kit, the Maybelline Master Sculpt (reviewed here) just incase I wanted a killer contour for the evening times.
Finally, as you may have guessed from my most recent favourites post, my Miliani Luminoso Baked Blush and I just cannot be separated! She comes with me everywhere! Thank you, Nikkitutorials!
I wanted to choose a small palette that was rather neutral so that I could create any eye look I fancied. After all, I don’t have my range of palettes to sit and choose from. For me, there was no other than the Makeup Revolution Essential Matte 2 Palette. It is small, has a range of colours with cool, warm and neutral tones. Perfect for daily looks, or evening looks!
I am loving the no eyeliner, more mascara look at the moment. I rarely use liquid eyeliners as it is, but I have been loving just wearing mascara for a lighter look. Therefore the only other product that accompanied me on this trip was the Mac Extreme Black False Lash Mascara. And my eyelash curlers of course..
Of course, I couldn’t go away and leave my brows behind! Nothing has changed.. at all. I still use my Maybelline Brow Satin and Brow Drama for my brows. Same ole’!
You can never have to many lip colours! To say I struggled was an understatement.. I finally chose two colours that I was happy with. A nude lip, and a pink lip. I haven’t really spoken about this product before, but it’s because I have a couple of planned posts featuring this lip product coming soon! The Collection Cream Puff in Angel Delight is life right now! For a brighter lip, I used my Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in Eastend Snob. Oh yeaaaa..
& That my friends is all the makeup that I took away with me on this trip! It was more than enough and I was able to create a couple of different looks! Without spending hours on my makeup either!
What are your essentials for travelling? Do you like any of these products?
Until next time loves,
