Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation Reivew

Hello you beautiful lot!

Today I am going to be reviewing for you the Bourjois Radiance Reveal Healthy Mix Foundation. I have only owned this foundation for a few weeks, but I feel that I can do a full review for you guys. I just want to say that this stuff is amazing! Want to know why? I will happily tell you!

The Bourjois Radiance Reveal Healthy Mix Foundation is a new foundation by Bourjois that claims to last for up to 16 hours, leave your skin looking radiant and flawless with fruit therapy to enhance your complexion. Bourjois claim that this foundation ‘is also enriched with crystalline pigments to even out the complexion while letting in the natural light for that healthy looking glow. Its soft, fresh texture easily blends onto the skin for a comfortable flawless finish leaving you with beautiful, radiant and hydrated skin.’

Colour Range

This foundation comes in 8 shades. I have the colour 51 Light Vanilla, and it is the only foundation that I have found where I feel that it really matches my skin shade and tone. I think that the colour range is pretty good, varying from pale like me, to more deeper skin tones. Some people may have to mix shades together to get the desired shade, but I really think that this foundation is worth it! If you have extremely fair skin, you may find that the lightest shade is a little too dark for you which is my only bad point!

Packaging

This foundation comes in a glass bottle, so I wouldn’t recommend it for travelling just in case you happen to have an accident and get it everywhere! As far as I can understand, the majority of Bourjois products are written in French. This foundation has one side written in French and the other side written in English, which I really like. I love the fact that this foundation has a pump, and one pump is plenty by the way! I really like the pops of red in the packaging, as it catches the eye and makes the foundation stand out. The lay out is really simple and easy to read, and you also have the little picture of the fruit at the bottom, a nice little touch. I really like this packaging as everything you need to know is on there, and it is just very current and attractive.

Application

This foundation has a really lightweight, smooth and creamy formula. It is not extremely thick, or too sheer. I have found that this foundation blends like a dream, even better than the L’Oreal True Match foundation! I applied one pump on the back of my hand, and used my Real Techniques Stippling Brush to buff this into my skin. Usually I find that this brush leaves streak marks when I buff products with it, but it gives a gorgeous finish when it is used to stipple. With this foundation you can literally buff until your heart is content as there are no streak marks and it just melts into your skin. You only need a little amount to get a good medium coverage out of it. It feels like silk on my skin, and once I have applied it, it looks like skin. It gives a very healthy, natural glow and leaves you looking very hydrated and fresh faced. I have taken a photo of my skin before the foundation, and after just so you can get a feel of how it looks. (excuse the lighting issues..)

Wear

I adore the way this foundation looks on my skin, from when I apply it to when I take it off. It claims to have 16 hour wear, but I haven’t worn it for that long to find out. I have worn it for a good 10 hours though, and it still looked as flawless as when I applied it. During the day, you don’t even realise that you are wearing this foundation. It is so lightweight, and it doesn’t move on my skin. I have dry skin, so nothing really moves from my skin anyways. If you are oily you may want to set it with a powder to mattify the foundation as well as set it. I really enjoy the way this foundation sits on my skin, it doesn’t crease in any areas or build up. It doesn’t cling on to any dry patches on my face. It literally leaves a healthy, hydrated glow all day long.

My Personal Opinion

This foundation is my new holy grail foundation. I went off foundations for a while, as I couldn’t find one that was really doing anything for me. I started to love BB creams as they are really lightweight and natural, but since I have found this it is all I have been using. I really love the colour match, it feels amazing on my skin and it smells delicious! Bourjois say that the apricot is for radiance, the melon is for hydration and the apple is to protect your youth. This foundation is most definitely hydrating and radiant. Not to mention it gives the most natural and healthy glow to my skin. I have been really enjoying this foundation. It looks so natural, it applies beautifully and considering I have sensitive skin, the fruit therapy in it has not irritated my skin or broke me out. It is just lovely in formula, application, wear and packaging. I would highly recommend this foundation to anyone, especially my dry skinned pals out there! I cannot believe I didn’t try this sooner! This stuff is amazing, say no more.

Have you tried this foundation? Did you find it to be just as good?

Until next time beauties,
123xoxo
