Mean Girls.. I just love that film. I actually wanted to do this post for a good couple of months.. but I was always busy on a Wednesday and never even thought to schedule a post. Today however, I am finally getting down to it. Of course, being a makeup blogger, on Wednesdays we wear pink makeup right? I’m not talking foundation or contour.. I wanted to share with you some of my favourite pink items. Whether it be blush (the obvious option), lipsticks or eye shadows. Maybe even some pink brushes?
The obvious option for this pink themed post would be blushes. So what better place to start? I have a couple of blushes to talk about, the first being the Milani Baked Blushes in Luminoso and Bella Rosa. Luminoso as you may or may not know, is more of a light peachy pink. It has a gorgeous shimmer to it and is so fetch, especially for my pale skinned pals out there. Bella Rosa is a bright, matte pink shade. Perfect for adding that flush of colour to any makeup look.
The second blush I wanted to share with you are the Essence Silky Touch Blushes. I honestly think these may be my all time favourite blushes as they have a gorgeous shine to them without being chunky or straight up glittery. These blushes will get you compliments like ‘your blush is so pretty, where did you get it?‘ without the back stabbing of course, because these blushes are straight up gorgeous and everyone will want to know what’s on your face.
I am a big matte lipstick lover, there are a couple of pink shades that are to die for. A nude lip is a staple in everyone’s makeup bag. That’s just like, the rules of feminism. The first of course is my Essence Long Lasting Lipstick in Oh So Matt. This is the perfect nude for pale skin and I love it, the formula isn’t the best but if you apply it onto smooth lips then it looks so gorgeous. It doesn’t however look so good if your lips are slightly dry or flaky..
The next lipstick is another matte one, of course. It is the Collection Matte Lipstick in the shade 15. This is a little bit brighter than a nude, but I literally cannot hype up the formula of Collection matte lipsticks enough! I never realised how god damn good they are, and they have quickly became my favourite matte lipsticks that are affordable (Mac still take the lead, but not by much!). The only thing about these lipsticks is that the don’t do a really nice nude.. boo, you whore, but they do this really nice pink that would suit quite a lot of skin tones. It may not be to everybody’s taste, but it is gorgeous.
I’m doing it. Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette is the palette for pink/rosy toned shades. Everyone knows this palette is life, literally. When I received this palette I was having a ‘you go glen coco’ moment, because Urban Decay do eye shadows right! If you’re looking for great pink/rosy eye shadows.. look no further.
I have a perfume for you! Although the perfume itself technically isn’t pink, the bottle is.. so we’re going with it. This is possibly my favourite scent, I am not going to describe it to you as it just won’t go well.. but don’t worry you won’t smell like a baby prostitute! I am talking about the Brittany Spears Fantasy Perfume. It is my all time favourite perfume and I just keep going back to it! I know this is the purple bottle, but I have just run out of my pink bottle so a new one is desperately needed!
My last pink items are of course, the Real Techniques Brushes. Not all of them are pink, but some are so I wanted to focus on those. I adore real techniques brushes.. at first I didn’t see the hype as I never knew the importance of good makeup brushes, but once I saw everyone else using real technique brushes, I went out and bought real technique brushes. I’m glad I did, as they really are as good as everyone says they are!
So these are my favourite pink items! I just want to address how proud I am that I managed to use a quote for every single item, brownie points. I hope you enjoyed and until next time my loves,
