Birchbox Unboxing | November

It finally happened. I finally subscribed to Birchbox. If i’m honest, it was a long time coming. I have been interested in subscribing for what feels like years, when in reality I only discovered them a few months ago, but nonetheless I did it! I was so shocked when I realised that for only £10 a month, I could receive all these special gifts that have been selected for me and every month I would have the opportunity to try out loads of new and exciting products. I’m not going to lie though, you damn beauty bloggers made me do it! I love it however, and I am so excited to share with you my first ever ‘unboxing’, if you will. I just wanted to share with you what came in my box today and what I am super excited to try! Let’s go…

First up.. how god damn cute is this box? I literally don’t want to throw it away because it’s so bloody gorgeous. Not to mention the really cool little Birchbox bag that all the products come in. I did get slightly carried away as this is my first box.. but let’s get into it. Take two…

This months Birchbox is a collaboration with Skinny Dip London who designed the box and helped pick the products for this months box. What was inside?

Nuxe Masque Creme Fraiche de Beaute 24hr Soothing and Rehydrating Fresh Mask

Full Size – Worth £18.50

What a mouthful. So my first full sized item was this face mask that claims to ‘de-thirst’ and relax. If you know me, anything that mentions hydrating is going straight in my basket, so when I opened my box to see this I was really happy. What I love about this mask is that I don’t have to wash it off, I can just leave it on for ten minutes and then massage any extra product into my skin. I am loving the sound of this stuff already! This product is for all skin types but it sounds perfect for my awkward dry skin. I am eager to try this and was considering trying it out tonight. That was until I saw this…

Ren Wake Wonderful Night Time Facial

Sample Size – Full size worth £32!

  1. I have always wanted to try Ren products.
  2. I have always wanted a facial but never had the time or money
  3. I can sleep in this stuff and wake up the next morning with radiant, gorgeous skin?

I’m sold. I’m using this tonight on my face and that is the end of that. This is a sample size so I have a feeling I may be buying the bigger bottle if I love it as much as I feel I might. *Insert Chandler dance here*.

Cowshed Cow Pat Moisturising Hand Cream

Full Size – Worth £8

I have terribly dry hands! For the last couple of days especially I have been picking at my skin as it is just flaking off. Hand creams are those products that you never think to buy, and I am guilty of neglecting my hands when it comes to keeping them well moisturised. I am really excited to try this out as again, I have really wanted to try Cowshed products. I feel like Birchbox just get me, you know?

Living Proof Restore Instant Repair

Sample Size – Full size worth £25

Can we just talk about the packaging. How cute? It’s nothing special, but I personally really love the more simple approach to packaging. I am again guilty of neglecting my hair. It’s no secret! I am excited to try this as my hair is very dry and it claims to have a ‘complete breakage solution’. Interesting…

Notting Hill Femme English Laundry

Sample Size – Full size worth £60!

I got a little perfume sample! I wasn’t actually expecting perfume samples in these boxes but I am really happy they added this one in as it smells lovely. To me, it smells more mature, like a really womanly posh scent. I am useless as describing scents okay.. Pretty much, it isn’t too sweet or warm but it has a very cool and fresh scent to it. Either way, I am really enjoying this sample. Plus! It comes with a little squirty bottle instead of those awkward samples where you have to tip the perfume onto your body, and watch it fall everywhere. Really handy!

Trilogy Makeup Be Gone Cleansing Balm

Sample Size – Full size worth £19.50

This one baffled me a little bit, I am all for easy options to taking off my makeup.. but this one looks a little confusing. It comes in a ‘lip balm’ style tub, and is just that.. a balm. The idea is to rub the balm on your face and then wash with warm water to remove your makeup. I will definitely give this a try but usually I opt for the easy micellar water option. You never know though, I may love it!

Lord & Berry Lip Liner

Sample Size – Full size worth £9

So the final item I received in my Birchbox was this lip liner. This lip liner excites me. It is such a simple concept, but so genius as well. This is a translucent lip pencil, which means when you line your lips you get no colour pay off, but it helps prevent bleeding and holds your lipstick on longer. I love the idea of this as you can wear it with any lip colour. Boom, job’s a gooden! Spoken in my true Suffolk accent..

So there we have it folks, my first ever Birchbox Unboxing. I am not entirely sure how these ‘unboxing’ situations are supposed to go down, but i’m winging it! I hope you enjoyed and until next time my loves…
