Well here we are again, the end of yet another month and now officially half way through another year! I don’t know where on earth the time is going, but it’s going a little bit too fast for my liking! This month has been a little bleak when it comes to favourites. I have felt so uninspired and I am just going through the same old routines as normal so I don’t have a tonne of different products to share with you guys. I do however have a few stand out products that have gotten me through the month!
Maybelline Dream Velvet Soft Matte Hydrating Foundation
The great thing about blogging is that I buy way to many products to try and test which means I can switch up products as and when to get a good feel for the different products on the market. This month I have really been enjoying this foundation from Maybelline. I didn’t realise just how flawless and light weight this foundation was until I started wearing it non stop. It lasts really well throughout the day and it feels so comfortable during the day. I had to put this in my favourites for the month as it has been the one base I have been loving!
Highlight Combo: Becca & Pure Colour
My next favourite is actually a really bloody gorgeous one! Everyone knows I am obsessed with my highlights. I have two all time favourite highlights, the first of course being the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop and the second being the New Look Pure Colour Baked Highlighter. The two of these mixed together is like a lighter brighter version of champagne pop but it is so intense and glowy. I am slightly obsessed with this combo at the moment!
Caudalie Moisturising Sorbet
I received this little sample in this months Birchbox and I already know I want a full sized bottle! This stuff is so nice. It smells really good, it feels so lightweight but so moisturising and it sits perfectly under makeup. I just love everything about it!
Spectrum Blending Sponge
This is mine pre clean, I do apologize!
This is another product that I received in my Birchbox this month, and it made it into my monthly favourites which is always a good thing! I personally have never tried a proper beauty blender, but I love the real techniques complexion sponge! This blending sponge is quite different from the RT sponge as it has that classic egg shape for one, and it is slightly firmer when you sqeeze it. If this sponge was any firmer I would hate it, but it still has a good bounce to it when applying my foundation/concealer and it blends out product so well. The only thing I am not so keen on is that it retains water when you dampen it. It doesn’t seem to matter how hard I squeeze it, I will wrap it in a towel and squeeze some more but it still feels really wet when I use it. It makes me look more dewy however so I cannot complain!
Maybelline The Matte Maker Pressed Powder
This is one of the first powders I have ever tried, and recently I have been using this non stop. It has the perfect undertone, it is the perfect shade and it also adds just the slightest amount of coverage which I love. It looks so flawless and sets everything beautifully helping it last all day. I am just really enjoying this powder at the moment!
So there we have my May Favourites! Can we just take a moment to appreciate the fact that I got this up on time?! I’m proud of me too!
Until next time my loves…
