My New Years Eve Makeup

I am still trying to get my head around the fact that it’s new years eve tomorrow. I think 2016 has been a bit of a roller coaster for all involved and there have been their definite ups and downs. I cannot wait to see what 2017 will bring to me and my family, of course wishing it is good. Before it was too late I wanted to share with you the makeup that I will be wearing tomorrow night! It involves this super sparkly smokey eye and an ombre lip. I wanted to do something a little more out there but still really wearable and I am in love with this look. If you want to find out how I created this look then keep reading…

I started by priming my eyes using my Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Creme De Nude. I then set this with my regular face powder before going in with shadows. This just helped everything to blend together smoother. I knew that I wanted to use a cooler toned lid colour so to balance that out I decided to go for some warmer shades in the crease.

For this look I used my Makeup Geek Eye Shadows and started with Peach Smoothie. This shade is great as a transition but it is very warm against my skin, I buffed this all over my crease and just made sure that it was blended out really well. I then took the shade Frappe and applied this into the crease focusing on the outer corner. Once I had blended that I then went in with a mix of Cocoa Bear and Concrete Jungle. The reason I mixed both a super warm rich brown and a slate grey was because I don’t own any neutral browns in my collection, so this way just the easiest way to tone down the warmth of Cocoa Bear but keep the depth. I applied these shades on the outer third of my eye making sure to blend it out really well. I then took the time to apply all of the shades onto my lower lash line, making sure to blend each shade out before going in with the next one. I then took the shade White Lies and applied this to my inner corners quite heavily, and lighter on the brow bone.

For my lid I used ColourPop Koosh Eye Shadow. This shade is an ultra metallic and comes across super sparkly! I have been loving this shade and I love how it reflect both taupe tones and silver tones. It is such a unique shade!

I will probably wear lashes tomorrow night but for the photos as you can see I just have mascara on and I love it even with just mascara. I used my trusty Urban Decay Perversion Mascara and put a couple of layers on to give a more dramatic effect.

For my lips I wanted to try something  a little bit different. I started by lining my lips with the Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in Obsession. This shade is gorgeous and is the perfect vampy deep plum shade. I lined my lips and filled in the outer corners ready for my next lip colour.

I then applied my ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip in Bianca. This shade is a gorgeous nude with more pinky undertones. I was going to use Trap but it was more purple toned and I wanted to keep this lip more on the pink/nude side . I then blotted my lips together to blend the two colours together and patted over the edges with my lips to make sure that everything was smooth.

So there we have the finished look! I hope you enjoyed and I love seeing everyone’s new years eve looks! Until next time my lovelies! See you next year…
