So Valentines day is almost upon us! I am not even sure if I have any plans for Valentines day this year as I am working, but I couldn’t not put up a valentines day makeup look as I am loving pink/rosy tones at the moment and of course it came at quite a fitting time! Here is my soft and pretty valentines day makeup..
Let us start with a little base. This is my current go-to flawless face routine and it is the routine I have been going to every single time I have done my makeup. I start with my Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation. I bloody love this stuff, but of course I have to mix it with some lightening drops.
For concealer I have been using the LA Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer and applying this in all my highlighting areas. I love how light this concealer is but still packs plenty of coverage.
I then set my entire face with my Matte Maker Pressed Powder by Maybelline.
To contour I am using this PS Love Contour Kit. I love the contour shade but the other two shades do not work for my skin tone. This powder is very blendable and looks just like a shadow.
For my blush, as you have seen a hell of a lot recently, I am using my Sleek Suede Blush. I like applying my blush higher on my cheekbones recently rather than on the apples of the cheeks. I think this looks really pretty and doesn’t make my face look as round.
For highlight I have been obsessed with my Too Faced Champagne Truffle Eye Shadow and I have actually been loving a more sheer and lighter highlight. I apply this really sparingly with a fan brush just for a nice sheen on my cheekbones.
To set my base I have been using my Maybelline Super Stay 24 Setting Spray.
Now for the eyes! I have been using my Tarte Showstopper Palette and wanted to do something really light and pretty but a little more blushed toned than usual. I started with the light matte taupe eye shadow and blended this all over my eye, crease, lid, outer corner, lower lash line… everywhere! I then took the bronzer, and ever so lightly started to blend this into my outer corner and a little under the eye. To make this eye look I then took the blush in the palette and blended this over that bronzer, and packed it a little heavier on the outer part of the lid.
I then finished my eyes off with my favourite Urban Decay Perversion Mascara.
Finally for my lips I wanted to keep to the blushed tones but keep them more on the nude side. I started by using my Mac Please Me Lipstick, this lipstick is incredibly pink on me and in some lights looks almost neon, so I like to tone it down with my Makeup Gallery Pout Matters Lip Cream.
I hope you like this Valentines Day Makeup Look! Until next time…
