As much as I love makeup, I also love a bit of skin care. Whenever I go shopping then I always head for the skin care aisles first, and that is where I found this next collection of skincare. I love Garnier and when I saw that they had come out with a Moisture Bomb range I was a little more than intrigued. I love anything hydrating so of course I was pulled in. Not only that, but I saw they had a sheet mask and sheet masks, despite making me look like a serial killer, are my favourite kind of masks! So I purchased the Sheet Mask, Night Gel-Cream, and the day cream. I have been using all three for about 3 months now, so I have some definite opinions to share with you!
Garnier Moisture Bomb Day Cream
So first of all we have the day cream. The day cream comes in the standard blue packaging, which is the same for all items in this range. It has all the details on the front which I enjoy and it also comes with a pump!
I was so happy when I saw a pump as I really struggle to use potted skin care as I feel like even though I may love the product, the shelf life won’t be as long because it will harbor bacteria quicker, especially as you have to dig your fingers in there to get the product out so I was really chuffed with a pump. It’s a nice pump too!
I just need to get it out there that I really love this moisturiser. It comes out like any other moisturiser, it has a good consistency and isn’t too thick or watery. It smells delicious like every other product in this range, and I just love how it makes my skin feel. It is super hydrating and you can physically see the product soaking into your skin after you apply it. I do however feel like this product may have some oils in it and I find that if I wear this under makeup that I might get oilier a little quicker depending on what products I am using over the top, but it is a dream to apply makeup over. It just feels really refreshing and hydrating on the skin and leaves it super soft which I love. This one is definitely approved by me! I even bought a back up!
Garnier Moisture Bomb Night Gel-Cream
So the second product is the night gel-cream. This one comes in that classic garnier pot, which I am not a huge fan of. Like I mentioned, I find that potted products tend to have a lesser shelf life as they are exposed to more bacteria, and I also find that these are the items that tend to break me out more. I love the shade of blue but in general I am not a big fan of the packaging on these pots as I feel they just feel a little cheap and aren’t the prettiest packaging.
You all know that I am more interested in what was inside however! When you open this pot you can see that the product itself if a light blue gel, which had me even more intrigued as I really want to know what product it is that was turning the gel blue and if it was doing my skin any good. I find that this one has a weird texture to it. When I first applied it I absolutely loved how refreshing it felt, it had an almost cooling feel on my skin. I find that this gel has an almost dry feeling to it, which sounds really strange as this is a hydrating product, but it just didn’t have the same slip to it as a cream would and would leave my skin feeling a bit tighter rather than slippery. I started off liking this product, I wasn’t head over heels in love like I was with the day cream, but then I noticed that my skin started to break out so unfortunately I haven’t really been using this product a whole lot. I have used it with a good amount of time in between just to make sure that it is this that was breaking me out and I am 99% sure that it is.
Garnier Moisture Match Sheet Mask
So this final product is my absolute favourite one. I love sheet masks more than any other mask on the planet of the earth, I love the feeling of applying a dripping wet sheet and within 25 minutes the entire thing is dry and my skin has soaked the lot up. So satisfying! It just so happens that this sheet mask has become my new favourite. When you open it up, it is completely saturated in product and it is so easy to put on. I love using the rest of the serum in the sachet over my hands and neck. Just basically bathe yourself! I find this sheet mask to be so refreshing and it literally gives my skin the best boost. It feels softer, more hydrated, smoother and just feels rejuvenated. There is only so much I can say about a sheet mask. It was really comfortable to wear, it was a little big but I like that because you can ensure all areas are covered, and it is the ultimate pamper product. The only thing that can get a little annoying is the sheet for the upper lip tends to be way too big and can fall down onto the lips, but that is nothing. I will also just recommend that if you want to use one of these sheets in the morning, I would definitely recommend washing off the excess before applying makeup because I have tried using it without rising off the excess and the makeup crumbled on top of it and it was a major mess! Other than that I would highly recommend this sheet mask!
So there is my review of the Garnier Moisture Bomb range, I hope you enjoyed!
Until next time…
