April Favourites

So here we have yet another favourites, complaining once more how fast this year is going, and getting all excited to share with you my beauty favourites for this last month. These last few weeks I have been enjoying a much more natural style of makeup, I have skipped foundation and just been concealing where needed and using as minimal products as I can. It’s also for speed, I have been wanted to get dolled up much quicker, just so I can spend that little bit of extra time in bed, and so I have definitely got a few favourite products this month that help me do just that!

So my first favourite product is one I spoke about on my Instagram story, it is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation Powder. I have been using this powder for a good few weeks now and I am really loving it. It is a really sheer coverage powder, it has a more stiff texture to it but it looks so beautiful on the skin when I am just wearing concealer. I wear this on bare skin and it just evens everything out and mattifys the face without looking powdery or that I am wearing makeup. I am just loving the effect that it gives and it has been my go-to for days when I need some quick coverage.

My next favourite is an eye shadow palette which I have discovered as being extremely multi-purpose. The Makeup Revolution Light & Shade Eye Shadow Palette also known as the dupe of the Kat Von D palette, has been my go-to for a whole range of things. First of all, I have been obsessed with that middle taupe shade for contouring. It is the perfect shade for my skin tone (extremely fair and cool toned), that large peach shade has been a gorgeous blush for the spring also. I have been using this palette to add a bit of definition to my eyes as it is intended, and finally I have been loving this palette for my brows. Having one palette to do some many things is so handy especially when you are in a rush, and I haven’t put this thing down!

My next favourite of course, comes in the form of a highlight. Technically there is one eyeshadow from this makeup revolution palette that I have been obsessed with for highlight, and it is the only shimmery shadow I can apply to my inner corners and brow bone as even though it is pretty intense, it is so smooth and doesn’t emphasize anything but can also be buffed out to a subtle glow.

In the pan this shadow doesn’t look like much, even the swatch doesn’t look that tempting, but something magical happens when you apply it to the skin and I am obsessed.

Now that we are coming into summer I always go through a phase with cream bronzer. I have a few favourites this summer, but this Cruise Collection Creme Bronzer has been my go-to this past month. It looks a bit deeper in tone, but when applied it has the perfect shade and looks so natural. I have been wearing this every day so far!

I have rediscovered the Max Factor Creme Puff Blush again and I don’t know why I ever stopped using this blush! I have been going through a phase of peachy coloured blushes in the last couple of months, and I decided I wanted a change so I pulled this little fella out again and I haven’t put it back yet. Love love love!

My final favourite is a lipstick in the form of the Maybelline Colour Sensational Matte Lipsticks. I don’t actually have a specific shade that I want to mention as I use them all alternatively each day, but it’s just the formula that I am obsessed with and I would highly highly highly recommend them! Especially the nudes..
