Things I’ve Been Loving!

How has it been almost a month since I have blogged?! It is so strange how you can really tell when you are missing doing something you love as I feel so much less motivated now and like a big part of my life is missing. I have also found that I have lost all motivation to start again as I really don’t know where to start again. It’s a vicious circle! I have a few posts in mind but lately I have been completely lacking in creativity and inspiration. Everything just seems a little half arsed so I thought I needed a break. Not to mention that my 70 hour work weeks are probably having a big effect on that too!

I really didn’t know where to start again, as even though I haven’t physically been blogging, I have still been taking photos of makeup looks and things as if I was, so I have a big backup of photos and posts in mind but no idea where to start. I thought I would start simple with a kind of catch up if you will. I just want to share with you some of the products that I have been loving recently as I have been missing my favourites posts! There are some definite new favourites in my collection and I want to share them with you, so let’s jump right in shall we?

Nspa Hot Cloth Polish is first on my agenda of things I have been loving. In fact, it has been that long since I have blogged that I have purchased it and used the entire thing! A back up will be on the cards for definite as this is my new everyday favourite cleanser. What I love about this product is how thick and creamy it is, so it is extremely emollient and so gentle on my skin. This stuff removes all my makeup without leaving one single trace on my skin, I can heavily rub off my mascara with this stuff without it stinging or being sensitive around my eyes and once I have washed it all off with a damp flannel, my skin feels so clean and refreshed but also super moisturised!

One thing I don’t like about this one is that it has made me lazy! I have been using this morning and night and as my skin feels so hydrated and soft I have been skipping out on my moisturisers etc! Naughty me! Seriously recommend this one!

Next on the list is a setting spray. Now, I love a good setting spray and I am so obsessed with finding that perfect one that takes away any powdery finishes and leaves my makeup looking better for longer, all whilst being lightweight and not tight on my skin as that can be quite uncomfortable in some circumstances. This Collection Primed & Ready Makeup Fixing Spray is my new favourite thing of life! Why do I love it? First of all it is affordable, easily accessible and seriously underrated. I use this both before makeup to prime and then on top of makeup. It has a super fine mist which is actually quite dangerous as I find myself spraying so much on my face because it doesn’t feel like there is anything there, but when I open my eyes I am absolutely drenched in setting spray. Not a bad thing, trust. This takes away any trace of powder on the skin and makes everything just melt together and look so flawless! Another thing I adore about this product is that it doesn’t have that strong chemical/alcohol scent that the Makeup Revolution ones have, if it does have a scent it is so very subtle as I really don’t notice any which I love! Why does no one talk about this stuff?!

Now, you will know just how much I love these lipsticks as I have a whole post on them, blatantly calling them the best drugstore matte lipsticks ever! I have been obsessed with mixing the shades Purely Nude and Nude Embrace and it has been my new everyday go-to! Mine are really disgusting looking as I have been using them so much. If you haven’t tried the Maybelline mattes then I would seriously recommend trying at least one… pre warning: you will end up buying more than one! Ha!

Now it’s time for a little lash action and the Seventeen Falsifeye HD Mascara is one I have loved before and rediscovered again recently. I bought this because Wayne Goss raved about this as being the best mascara ever, and it really is bloody amazing! If you crave really fluttery, whispie, perfect lashes then this is definitely one to try!

Next up we have a makeup brush. This one is the Wilko Blusher Brush and it is incredible. So incredible in fact that this has been my go-to brush for pretty much my entire makeup routine. I should stop exaggerating so much, but it’s true! I use this for setting powder, baking, blush, bronzer, highlight, contour, the possibilities are endless! Not to mention that Wilko brushes are actually incredible and not talked about nearly enough as they should be! They are really affordable and so high quality. This one is just the perfect size, shape and density to be able to do so many different things but just blend everything out beautifully.

I have a Collection Blush in the shade Cheeky that I have been reaching for all the time these last few weeks. First of all, the formula of Collection blushes aren’t great, but they get the job done. They are a little powdery and need some building up but it is the colour that I am in love with and can’t put down! It is a super peachy coral shade that has this brightness and pop to it. It is really complimentary of so many eye looks and lip colours and once I have sprayed my face with the collection setting spray it looks beautiful!

Last but not least is a product that I will be talking all about in my next blog post, so keep your eyes peeled as I will explain everything there! Bottom line is that I am enjoying this powder by MUA and I haven’t put it down over the last fews weeks since I bought it.

I hope you enjoyed this mini catch up/products I have been really enjoying! Sorry for being away so long. I can’t promise that I will be back to normal just yet as I am really struggling with my creativity and a few other things, but once I get my head sorted I will be back and rearing to go!

Have a brilliant week wherever you are and until next time…
