Autumn Inspired Makeup Look

If someone could please tell me where the hell this year has gone please? Last time I checked I was complaining that it was too hot and we were only in April. When they tell you that time goes quicker as you get older they definitely weren’t lying! As we are now officially in Autumn, I thought I would share yet another fall makeup look. This is definitely my favourite time of year, and I find that this is the time of year where I feel most inspired. I haven’t focused on my complexion products so much as I am planning on sharing my updated foundation routine pretty soon, so I purely kept this about the eyes, lips and cheeks.

The colour combination that has been playing on my mind recently is coppers/cranberry shades with a cool mauve lip so I thought I would get that out of my system! To begin the eyes, I started by using my Maybelline Master Precise Micro Brow Pencil. This has quickly become my new holy grail and I really need to buy a couple more as I am nearly out! For the shadow, I don’t think it would be any surprise that I am using my Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette. This thing is actually like my child, and I can’t seem to go a day without using it or even looking at it! I used the shades Silk Creme, Pooter, Pukey, Hunts, Jacz, Firework, Little Lady, Beam, Roxanne and Creamsicle. It seems like a lot of shades… because it is. I was just sat down and playing around so I was just dipping into all kinds of shades and building them up. Next up I really wanted to do a very thin line on my upper lash line so for this I used the Essence Super Precise Eye Liner which is an incredible eyeliner. It creates a really smooth thin line and it very easy to control! I then added a black liner on my upper waterline and a cream liner in my lower water line and finished off with some L’Oreal Lash Paradise mascara.

For my cheeks, I started by applying the bronzer and contour from my Revlon Sculpt & Highlight Kit. I then went in with my Essence Matte Touch Blush in Berry Me Up and finished off by highlighting with a mixture of Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop and Pearl.

Finally for the lips, I wanted something cool toned and mauve. I was tempted to go for ColourPop Trap as that would be the obvious choice, but instead I wanted to try and make a little cocktail and be a bit experimental. I ended up mixing Jeffree Star Posh Spice Liquid Lipstick and Barry M Go To Liquid Lipstick and I love the shade that turned out!

I hope you enjoyed this makeup look, and until next time…
