Top 10 Under £10

I can’t even explain just how much I love affordable makeup! I do have my higher end items that I really enjoy, but for the most part the makeup that I use on a day to day basis is from the high street/drugstore. I wanted to give you my top 10 products that you can grab for under £10. All of these products are well loved and you have probably heard me talk about them about 79573 times, but we’re going with it…

Rimmel Lasting Finish Breathable Foundation

This foundation is by far my new holy grail. It is so lightweight, but gives me a solid medium/buildable coverage and doesn’t give my skin any weird texture. It’s just smooth and lasts beautifully on my skin. This is by far my favourite foundation, not only from the drugstore but from high end too! That I have tried anyways… I would highly recommend trying this foundation if you get a chance! The only annoying thing about this foundation is that the shade range could do better, but it’s definitely worth a try!

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

This beauty sponge is by far my favourite that I have tried so far! I apply all of my base products with a beauty blender and I love the shape and texture of this one. I use the flat side for my foundation and it gets into all the little nooks and crannies of my face, and then I use the pointed end to do my concealer. It has the perfect density and texture to it and makes applying my base so easy! I am currently trying out another sponge that I picked up from Superdrug but so far I much prefer this one!

Barry M Matte Me Up Lip Paints

£4.99 Singles | £6.99 Lip Kits

I have ranted and raved about these liquid lipsticks before, and I still continue to love and use them all the time! If you want a full in depth review then you can click here, but if you want a quick run down then all you need to know is that these liquid lipsticks are thin in texture, yet completely pigmented, quick drying and so comfortable! They can be a little drying throughout the day but what liquid lipstick isn’t?! They wear so well and they are my favourite that I have found so far! They sell these in singles or as lip kits where you get a lip liner too. The lip liners are also really beautiful. Highly recommend!!

Collection Glam Crystals Glitter Eye Liners

Everyone is obsessed with glitter, and I don’t blame them either! Who doesn’t love a bit of sparkle?! These glitter eyeliners from Collection are incredible and so ridiculously affordable. These glitters aren’t too chunky or grainy, but are so reflective. What I really enjoy about these glitters however is that you don’t get the fall out like you would with a loose glitter and it dries down completely and doesn’t budge. They are just so easy to use and they come in a good selection of colours too!

Maybelline Master Precise Micro Brow Pencil

I am not one of these people that has amazing eye brows and is a pro at filling them in. I am rubbish at using all the pomades or powders or whatever else everyone loves. I love a basic skinny brow pencil. Something that isn’t going to be too intense, but is going to fill my brows in lightly and not look chunky in my brows. I am obsessed with this pencil and this is by far the best brow product I have ever used! The only annoying thing about this pencil is that I go through them like there is no tomorrow, I am on my 4th pencil and I only discovered this maybe 3 months ago? Highly recommend either way!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

This concealer is like a cult favourite. It has amazing coverage, blends out really beautifully and doesn’t look heavy under the eyes. I have other affordable concealers that I love, but I would say if you are looking for a great affordable concealer then this one is definitely one to try!

Tanya Burr Cosmetics Illuminating Powder

I love Tanya Burr and I have really enjoyed everything that I have tried from her line so far, and this highlighter just had to make my top 10! These highlighters are baked, and even though there aren’t that many shades (or variety of shades), the highlighter itself is really beautiful. You can get both a light highlight or a more intense one depending on how much you use, but it isn’t chunky and doesn’t give your skin that weird bumpy texture. I wish she would come out with a better variety of shades as the shades she does have are more aimed for medium skin tones and then a blush shade, but I do really enjoy these highlighters!

Essence Volume Stylist Lash Extension Mascara

I actually really bloody love Essence! They do some amazing products for such incredible prices! I have talked about this mascara before, but it is really good for giving lots of volume but not looking clumpy. My lashes still look seperated and hold a curl really well. The only thing about this mascara is that it is a bitch to remove, but that can be either god or bad depending on what you prefer! For the price, I’m not complaining!

Barry M Fall In Love Eye Shadow Palette

I am really getting into Barry M products recently, and as soon as I saw this palette the word ‘subculture’ jumped into my head and I was so excited. I haven’t personally tried the Subculture palette, but this is very similar although there are less shades and all matte shades at that! The pigmentation and quality is really nice in this palette and all the shadows blend so well! I am so impressed and especially for this time of year I would highly recommend this palette!

Essence Keep It Perfect Makeup Fixing Spray

I have tried a few setting sprays from the high street/drugstore and the reason I really love this one is because it doesn’t have that chemically/hair spray sent to it and it feels nice and refreshing on the skin. The spray can be a little intense, so I just hold it an arms length away, but it takes away any powdery finish and sets everything really well. As for it making my makeup last longer, I don’t think it helps with oil control but it doesn’t help to hold everything in place and I love how my skin looks when I use this spray.

I hope you enjoyed my version of my top 10 under £10, I would love to hear your favourite bargains too so I can take mental note and blow my overdraft sometime soon! muhaha!

  1. My favorite foundation from the drug store is Maybelline Fit me matte and poreless, I also love the Colourpop super shock shadows for an easy effortless eye look, pick a neutral shade sweep ot over the lid a little mascara and I can be out the door quickly.

    1. I love the matte and poreless and I was using it everyday until I ran out, I think I prefer the Rimmel one now though as it has more of a natural/satin finish. I am also a huge fan of supershock shadows and I am dying to try more but Colourpop is quite hard to get hold of in the UK and customs stings me so I try and avoid ordering off their website :( boo! xx

    1. If I had to recommend anything it would be the Matte Me Up Lip Paints! So gorgeous! I find their eye shadow palettes to be a bit hit and miss.. but this one is very nice and easy to work with! x
