My Current Everyday Makeup

Despite the fact that I love playing around and experimenting with my makeup, it is so easy to get into a routine and do the same thing day in, day out. I am currently in one of those routines and I have been wearing the same makeup look for the last couple of weeks religiously. One reason is that I am struggling to get inspired at the moment but the main reason is that I love this makeup look so much that I just keep doing it! This look is very easy and quick to achieve but looks like I spent way more time on it than I actually did, which is what we are all after isn’t it?! Like anything, practice makes perfect and I have now worn this makeup enough that I can slap it on in 20 minutes sometimes less, and be out of the door. Another great thing about this look is that you can wear any lip that you want to with it to dial it up or down, and the tones are very neutral. I am also going to be sharing my current lip combo that I have been wearing religiously too so if you’re interested then stay tuned…

I always start my makeup with my base. I start by doing my pre-makeup routine, and then I jump straight into foundation. If you haven’t guessed, the foundation I use on the daily is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Breathable Foundation in the shade 103 True Ivory. I apply this using a beauty sponge and work in sections so that I don’t waste product. Once I have blended that out, I then go in with my Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer which is definitely a favourite of mine. I would usually use my other favourite Essence concealer but I need to repurchase it and just haven’t been to town yet to do so, oopsI again blend that out with my sponge and go straight to powder. The powder I have been trying out recently and really enjoying is the George Satin Loose Mineral Powder. This powder is from Asda’s own brand George and I am so surprised at how nice this is. It is a very silky powder and I thought that this was going to leave me with a very white cast on my face as the powder itself is very white/icy blue toned almost. I don’t bake with this powder but simply dust it under my eyes and t-zone to set everything in place and it is completely translucent but doesn’t leave my face looking powdery or overly matte. That is another thing I really enjoy about this powder too, which is that it is very natural looking and leaves the skin looking like skin and not powdery.

You have heard me talk about this Revlon Sculpt and Highlight Kit many times and it is obvious which ones I use on the daily. I only use the bronzer and contour on my cheeks and temples and then I go in with my Essence Silky Touch Blush in the shade 90 Summer Dreaming which is a really pale neutral pink and goes with every makeup look imaginable. I then finish off my cheeks by using my ColourPop Lunch Money Highlighter and move onto my eyes.

If you haven’t guessed, I am a sucker for the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette. I start by using the shade Silk Creme in my crease and also blend it under my lower lash line, I then take Pooter on my inner and outer corners and pop Butter on the centre of my lid. I am usually not a fan of a shimmery inner corner highlight as I find it makes my inner corners look sunken in and isn’t as effective as a matte white, but I have been using the shade Beam just on the very inner corner of my eye and blending it along the inner part of my lower lash line and I was so impressed at how much better that looked on my eye shape. I also applied it sparingly on my brow bone too which again, I don’t usually do!

I finished off my eyes with some L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara and then filled in my brows using the Maybelline Master Precise Micro Brow Pencil. These two products are my holy grails and I use them with every single look that I do!

Finally for the lips, I have really been enjoying my Mac Velvet Teddy Lipstick for this time of year, as on my complexion it is a much deeper nude but still wearable and flattering. I have also been really enjoying glossy lips so I have been topping that with the Nyx Butter Gloss in the shade Ginger Snap. This gloss is the perfect brown/nude and as it isn’t as opaque as the intense butter glosses, it layers really nicely over any lip colour you apply underneath it and doesn’t has a good lasting powder without being too sticky or gloopy. This has been my go-to lip combo recently and I really enjoy it! I have also found that since using the Satin Powder I haven’t had to set my face with a setting spray to take off that powdery finish, and it still looks just as great without it!

I’m doing a giveaway!

I am so close to picking a winner so if you want to be entered then find all of the info right here to be in with a chance of winning some Mac goodies!
